The Acarnanian Den

The Acarnanian Den is found in the heart of our territory. Beauty is this areas middle name. Not only is their plenty of caribou and hares, a large body of water lies close by. It is a wonderful area to hide away and enjoy nature and its lush green woods.

For a moment, Night has the urge to snap at this wolf, referring her to alpha? She snorted. She was the Egetes. Night let this one slide, understanding that this wolf seemed rather new to the systems.
"Greetings Democritus." She replied. Still alert, she stayed standing, ears flicking this way and that, catching the sounds of the woods, and with it, the smell of another wolf.

Talon causally melted out of the trees, he nodded to Night the Egetes and continued on his path with his muzzle bent to the ground, he sorted the different scents into categories but it seemed he had lost his trail of hare to the rain when it last poued it down, he grunted and stopped his search

The male trotted into the den area and sighed the breeze blowing in his pure white fur. He lay down and put his head on his paws watching butterflies float past. Kiba sat up when he saw a lizard scamper by him, the wolf glared as it ran off. His ears twiched as he heard others talking. The male stood up and then chased his tail out of boredom but he soon fell on the ground with a crash. "Ouch." He whined getting up.

He looked around. Kiba wondered off to look for something to do, he found the Lizard he saw earlier. He watched it hunt little bugs. The male sighed and sat down, this little Lizard was very smart and indeed very fun to watch. He chuckled as the little creature climbed over him.

Night's ears flicked as a wolf padded up to her. She turned and tilted her head slightly in greeting. "Fear.." she said. "I knew you would come out sometime. " the canid's eyes twinkled mysteriously and then her gaze fell on the hare a little ways off. "Excuse me.." she said, padding past Fear. She picked up the still warm rabbit and dropped it by Fear's paws.

The canid entered the area, somewhat hesitant of the many scents that surrounded the area. Melic felt somewhat bemused, eyes appearing dull whilst padding forwards, earth crushing inbetween her paw pads. 'Hmmmm...' the female thought to herself, as the scents that surrounded the area became strong, as well as Melic's curiousity.

Talon stopped, he sniffed the air and looked towards where he could see the distant shapes of some wolves, looked like one of them was Night. The big male decided to travel towards them, he bounded of to the river before making his way to greet Night. The male snorted slightly when he saw the herd of Caribou, he would hunt later. He stood in he water till it was just above his back, he sighed as the cold soothing water flowed by. He bent his head to lap up the delicious water before making his trip towads Night.

Sola padded silently through the shadows of the forest, using the darkness as an advantage to remain unnoticed. Her paws made almost none to little sound as she softly laid them down ,one in front of the other, onto the leaf-covered landscape. She stayed alert, careful not to scare off any possible prey. After walking through another small stretch of forest, the female canid’s ears pricked as she heard the familiar sounds of a mouse rummaged through the contents that resided on the forest floor. Sola instinctively dropped into a hunting crouch ,feeling the grey fur on her underside shift some leaves as she quietly moved forward, her ears pulled back and her white fangs showing. The fae sighted her target as soon as it was in range. With one powerful thrust from her hind legs, Sola had the rodent under her paws. In a flash, the animal struggled to escape from the terrible fate Sola intended to ensure. But the canid was all to ready for this, and she simply held the animal down with her greater strength. Once Sola knew her grip was secure, she ducked her head hastily ,and with one powerful crushing movement of her jaws, she snapped the animal’s neck, killing it instantly. The female swiped her tounge over her maw, cleaning off the scarlet blood that had stained her white fangs. She dipped her head and picked up the small body in her mouth turning back in the direction of her pack’s den.

Night watched as Fear padded away. Feeling slightly disappointed, the she-wolf's spirits lifted as she saw the other Egetes Melic approaching the clearing. She bowed her head slightly in greeting and sat down, peeling her ears at a large male trotting towards her.

He sighed when the Lizard ran off. Kiba got up and walked around the area.

Night watched intently as the male neared. She stood and tilted her head slightly in greeting, stood, and turned to find the pack's yearling.
The female pressed her nose against the ground and could easily smell Sola close by.

Feeling content, now that she knew the whole pack was safe and close by, she lay beneath Tye shade of a pine tree and set her head on her paws. The black canid soon fell towards sleep.

"What's the hurry Sola?" Night mumbled, sensing a young pack member shift close by. "Can't enjoy a little sunny and relaxing afternoon?" The black wolf opened her eyes and peered at the yearling curiously, still resting her head on her paws.

Lark padded to Night slOwly her paws big and clumsy. "Hello" she piped

Kiba shook his fur as he wondered to an area full of wolves. The male yawned and watched the other wolves carefuly with his crystal eyes.

The female wolf turned as she heard a familiar voice. "Hey there Larka!" Night said warmly. "And how are you?"
the canid sat up and looked down at the Eta, eyes gleaming.

She grinned and sat smiling." I'm good" she replied kindly looking at her clumsy puppy paws

Talon ran he last few metres, he dipped his head to everyone and spoke casually "hi, so how is everyone?" The male sat down and pawed his ears, he swished his tail along the ground deciing he should hunt soon
